While in London, we saw the play "The Things We Do For Love" starring Jane Asher, took a boat cruise along the Thames, saw the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace, hung out in Hyde Park, I was introduced to Shandies (beer and lemonade - the *only* way to enjoy a beer!) and, most importantly, I turned 34.
Here I am at the musical mecca, Abbey Road and below is a pic of Hyde Park.
West of London, Bristol is a fairly large city but not necessarily touristy. The first picture is where I sat along the Bristol Channel writing out my postcards (including one to myself naturally ;-)) on a gorgeous day. The next shot is from the annual festival held in a park overlooking a stellar view of the city. Here I'm on the Clifton Suspension Bridge and in the background are hundreds of hot air balloons that took off during the festival. (I still have the creeps from when the Michelin Tire Man took off ;-).)
The *famous* Clifton Suspension Bridge
Here I am hanging out in Oxford. We saw a lot of the countryside that day driving through the country...

One of my favorite places. The countryside is beautiful. Every so often we had to wait for sheep or horses to decide to move off the road, however, so that we could continue on our way!
Rhossili on the coast...

Outside of town in Brecon prior to the annual Jazzfest where Van Morrison performed in a small marketplace venue. Incredibly cool. Van The Man was just great!
