Edinburgh
What a beautiful city with the castle high on the hill, old town on one
side with its sad and historic history and new town on the other side. Old
town is especially beautiful with its narrow winding passageways up and
down the hills of the town.
The people are great too. With a biting sense of humor along with a
lovely accent. |
We're off.... |
 |
With the Edinburgh Castle in the backround, high up on the hill (or
rather the inactive volcano!) |
How many cities can boast bagpipe buskers? |
Outside The Last Drop Inn. One of my favorite retaurants that I
discovered during my brief visit 2 years earlier. We ate here 3 times this
visit ;-). |
The castle at night. Gorgeous. |
A church at night. |
W in front of the Princes Gardens. It used o be filled with water
- and at times bodies, garbage, etc. oy. |
Me on the long walk up to the castle from Princes Gardens. Can't
imagine trying to attack this place from this angle! |

Supposed to rival the Romans but was never quite finished. |
The heart where *true Scots* spit to show their disgust at this being
the site of so many public hangings. |

Lovely winding street in old town. |

How many times has this picture been taken (not the name of the street
;-)). C'mon I'm sure Prince William (who attends university here) took the
same picture! |
